The Facility

Shadow Facs Farm sits on 50 acres of rolling fields and pastures. The property is nestled on the McKean/Waterford line about 5 miles south of Interstate 90 and Route 19.

There are 17 stalls with Nelson electric heater waterers, some stalls are 12 x 12 and some are 12 x 10. All stalls have working windows in them to the outside.

Aerial view

We have a wash stall with a good lighting system in order to see the smallest detail of your horse. There is also a vacuum for those really muddy days, no more eating the dirt!

Hope Hall is a 200 x 60 indoor arena complete with dressage letters, mirrors and schooling fences. It is drug each morning to ensure a good consistant base for which to work your horse on. There is a heated lounge and viewing room for those frosty days. We also have a 100 x 200 outdoor split rail arena, making it nice to work outside in warm weather.

We have two heated tack rooms complete with lockers to accommodate a saddle, bridle and grooming supplies. We encourage everyone to keep their tack clean by using the tack cleaning hook and saddle stand that are available in each tack room.

There are acres of wonderful fields to hack around as well as some cross country fences, ditches and schooling banks. There are hills for strengthening and balancing and flat areas for those that would like to do a bit of galloping.

Above all there are people who love horses and spending time with them; it is a family atmosphere and a place where it is fun to be. Our horses are quiet, happy and healthy. Classical music fills the barns and friendliness is all around.
